Green Lynx

Green Lynx

Took a pic of this spider I found on the overhang outside our house this weekend. It's a male Green Lynx Spider, his body was about the size of a paper clip. Similar to the Wolf spider in that they have great eyesight, and they don't make webs, but they hunt down their prey, chase it, and eat it. They eat small insects and other spiders. Not dangerous to humans.

This has been another edition of Mike Pernecky's Animal Planet.
